To connect my past, present, and future I found a quote that fits very well to my stories. The quote is “Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life - Mary Manin Morrissey After reading this quote I found it to be very inspiring to me. My past was about me moving away and when I moved I put my foot on the beaks because I was afraid to move forward and let new things into my life. Once I Let go of the breaks I learned new interest about myself and it changed my life for the better. My present dealt with how I let others influence my college decisions. I put my foot on the breaks because I listened to what others were telling me, but once I stopped listening to what others told me I found myself loving what I always knew I did, children. This quote impacts my future because from my past and present I learned to take my foot off the breaks and let go of my fear. Now I can look forward to a new future in my classroom. I plan to repeat the quote throughout my tell project.
